After the Women’s Health Initiative study led to misleading headlines about MHT and breast cancer, many women stopped taking hormone therapy, and we’re still seeing those effects today. However, the preponderance of evidence shows that modern menopausal hormone therapy, using bioidentical estradiol and progesterone, does not further increase breast cancer risk.
