https://learnlooklocate.com ❤️️ In my opinion, the oncology community in some ways is lagging behind the advancements in technology. So, you know, many of us were trained as general oncologists. It's getting harder and harder to be a general oncologist because care is getting more and more specialized. You know, in lung cancer in particular, I mean, you know, 25 years ago, we treated it one of two ways.

I mean, one of three ways, you know. Now there's, I mean, literally a dozen or more precision medicines that treat unique aspects of lung cancer. And so for the general medical oncologist to keep up with all of that information in lung cancer and breast cancer and colon cancer, where you're seeing the same thing occur, is increasingly difficult.

Charles H. Weaver, MD, is a Learn Look Locate LLC Medical Advisor and has dedicated his career to helping patients understand the rapidly evolving role of precision cancer medicines in oncology to improve patient decision-making and engagement.

Dr. Weaver received his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania, National Institutes of Health, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He served five years as the Chief Medical Officer of a publicly traded Physician Practice Management (PPM) company, where he created a national stem cell transplant and clinical trials research network and developed cancer treatment strategies, educational programs, and management pathways used by over 750 oncologists in the U.S. He developed the FHCRC clinical trials outreach program and the first national physician investigator organization facilitating the movement of industry-regulatory clinical trials into the private sector. He remains actively engaged in strategic consulting around all aspects of clinical trials design and recruitment.

We advocate the importance of self-breast exams, what to look for when performing a self-exam, and when to see a doctor. We provide resources for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as for their families and friends.

The five-year survival rate for women who catch their cancer early is nearly 100%. Here’s an important statistic. Many women do not perform self-breast exams or see a doctor for regular screenings. Learn Look Locate LLC wants to highlight the work of organizations around the world that are working to promote early detection of breast cancer. We will feature stories of women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and share their journeys.

There are several ways to diagnose breast cancer, including mammograms, biopsies, and ultrasounds. Once breast cancer is diagnosed, there are a few treatment options available, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The best way to treat breast cancer is to catch it early and to get the best treatment possible.

There is a strong community of women who have been affected by breast cancer. In addition, there are a number of organizations and resources available to help women find the support they need.

Learn Look Locate LLC provides resources for women who want to get involved in the fight against breast cancer.
