عندما نذكر انعدام الجاذبية الأرضية
سرعان ما يتبادر إلى ذهننا صورةُ رواد الفضاء وهم يسبحون داخل إحدى محطات الفضاء،
أو يتبادر إلى ذهننا قصة اكتشاف اسحاق نيوتين للجاذبية الأرضية،
عندما كان يجلس تحت شجرة، ووقعت عليه تفاحة من الشجرة
فاكتشف قانون الجاذبية على الفور حينها
فتعيش الكائنات الحية والمواد الصلبة على الكرة الأرضية،
وتستقر كلها بفضل قانون الجاذبية الأرضية،
ورغم وجود الجاذبية على كوكب الأرض
إلا أن هناك بعض الأماكن تحدّت قانون الجاذبية بشكل غريب،
وليست للجاذبية تأثير كبير بها كمثل باقي الكرة الأرضية
